Upcoming Cheney Library Events

June 9, 2016 By eastwickpress

On June 11, 2016 at 10 am Cheney Library will host Kimalie Wassick. Kimalie graduated from Endicott College and has been working as a professional artist since then. She is well known for her colorful paintings, sculptures, murals, and whimsical interiors. [private]Kimalie has written and illustrated a series of Basil & Prune the Pug books, depicting the colorful lives of Basil and Basil’s pug, named Prune. Please be sure to put this event on your calendar and come at 10 am June 11 at Cheney Library in Hoosick Falls.

There are two programs slated for July at Cheney Library. On July 11 at 7 pm Ken Gottry will speak to us on Grandma Moses. He did a very interesting talk on Eagle Bridge two years ago. He does a lot of research on a subject and gives us that knowledge. Please mark this on your calendars as well.

Then at the end of July on the 28th Molly McCann, program manager for Columbia, Greene and Rensselaer counties of the Northeastern New York Chapter of Alzheimer’s association, will be here with a discussion of the basics of Alzheimer’s. That program will begin at 6:30 pm.

So mark your calendars: June 11 at 10 am for Kimalie Wassick and her series Basil & Prune the Pug; July 11 at 7 pm Ken Gottry presenting Grandma Moses; July 28 at 6:30 pm Molly McCann and a discussion of Alzheimer’s. All programs take place in the library.[/private]
