by Alex Brooks

This picture of the Iron Coffee logo superimposed on the new Parson’s Corner building was circulating on social media on Tuesday, and Hoosick Falls Mayor [private]David Borge confirmed that Sequence Development has signed a lease with The Iron Coffee Company to open up a coffee shop and cafe, along with its coffee roasting business, in the first floor of the newly constructed Parsons Corner project (formerly Dougherty’s Corner) on the corner of John Street and Main Street in Hoosick Falls.IronCoffeeweb

Borge said work is expected to begin almost immediately on the interior of the space, and the owners are hoping to open their doors by mid-September.

“It’s just terrific news,” said Borge. “It speaks to everything we’ve been trying to do in the downtown area.” He said this is only one of several new businesses that are moving into the center of Hoosick Falls, and he believes a momentum is developing that bodes well for future investment in the downtown area.[/private]
