Dominick M. Carlino, Jr.

Dominick M. Carlino, Jr. Stephentown – Dominick M. Carlino, Jr., 81, died peacefully at home on Friday, July 15, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Schenectady, he was the son of the late Dominico M. and Girlorma Carnvale Carlino, Sr.

He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War serving in Germany from 1951-55. Mr. Carlino resided in East Greenbush for many years before moving to Stephentown in 1980. He was employed by the NYS Dept. of Transportation as a supervisor in East Greenbush and Chatham for over 30 years before retiring in 1997.

He was a member of the Veterans of the Stephentown Area and a former active member and fire commissioner for the East Greenbush Fire Department. Dominick enjoyed working around his home and gardening. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Aletta Fradenburg Carlino; his devoted son, Dominick M. Carlino, III and his wife Paula of Stephentown; a daughter, Maria Heise of Burnt Hills and her two sons, Anthony and Stephen Marra; his two sisters, Mary Dingman of Sarasota, FL and Gina (Patsy) Pardi of Rotterdam. He was predeceased by four siblings and is survived by several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service was held Tuesday, July 19 at 6:30 pm at the Hall & Higgins Funeral Home in Stephentown with visiting prior to the service.
