The Hoosick Town Board accepted Jim Dunigan’s letter of resignation from the Planning Board at its August 8 meeting. He has served on the Planning Board since 1980, a remarkable record of 36 years of service.[private]Hoosick Town Board member David Sutton spoke at length, reminding everyone of how long ago it was that Dunigan started on the Planning Board (Jimmy Carter was still in office) and praising Dunigan’s

long term dedication to the Town. He also brought comments sent by Planning Board Attorney Dennis King, who said Dunigan was an all-around good guy, fun to work with and dedicated to fairly implementing the local laws. Dunigan said, “I never knew the political party of anyone I was dealing with, and that never came into it.” Flowers were presented to Pam Dunigan, and a reception with cake and soda was held in Dunigan’s honor.[/private]
