Local Students Are Members of Class of 2016 At Hudson Valley Community College

More than 1,500 students recently completed the requirements for graduation from their academic degree or certificate programs at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, NY. The college’s Class of 2016 includes students from around the Capital Region and around the globe, graduating from more than 80 degree or certificate programs.

Jeffrey Curtis of Petersburgh, a graduate of the Criminal Justice academic program.

Kodi Day of Petersburgh, a graduate of the Criminal Justice academic program.

Taylor Hicks of Petersburgh, a graduate of the Human Services academic program.

Morgan Hill of Petersburgh, a graduate of the Individual Studies academic program.

Catherine Hing of Stephentown, a graduate of the Business – Accounting academic program.

Eric Kaufmann of Hoosick, a graduate of the Electrical Construction and Maintenance academic program.

Nicole Lichty of Petersburgh, a graduate of the Business – Marketing academic program.

Matthew Mears of Petersburgh, a graduate of the Liberal Arts and Science – Humanities and Social Science academic program.

Ashley Moon of Berlin, a graduate of the Individual Studies academic program.

Steven Mooney of Petersburgh, a graduate of the Liberal Arts and Science – Humanities and Social Science academic program.

Erika Pelletier of Petersburgh, a graduate of the Early Childhood academic program.

Abbey Peterson of Stephentown, a graduate of the Nursing academic program.

Justin Ryan of Petersburgh, a graduate of the Computer Information Systems: System and Network Administration academic program.

Kaitlyn Snyder of Hoosick, a graduate of the Individual Studies academic program.

Sharon Strock of Petersburgh, a graduate of the Early Childhood and Teaching Assistant academic program.

Katie Tobin of Petersburgh, a graduate of the Criminal Justice academic program.

The 62nd Commencement ceremony was held Saturday, May 14, in the Joseph L. Bruno Stadium on the Hudson Valley campus.

Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 80 degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of nearly 12,000 students, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training. Hudson Valley has more than 75,000 alumni. [/private]
