New Lebanon CSD Organizational Meeting

by Alex Brooks The New Lebanon Central School Organizational Meeting held on July 13 was a mostly routine proceeding. Timothy Lambert was elected President of the Board of Education and Michael Bienes Vice-President, and Dakota Kubli was appointed student representative to the Board.[private] The usual appointment and financial authorizations were completed. Elementary Principal Andrew Kourt commented that the summer school is going well with 18 kids in it, and summer professional development programs for teachers are in progress. Business Manager Michael Los mentioned two summer projects – replacing lights in the Middle School, High School and Elementary for energy efficiency, and installing a new door access system to improve security in the school buildings. The Board: • Accepted a bequest from a former volleyball coach of $60,707, left in her will to establish the Maura Olger Stouter Leadership Award. • Appointed Brittany Grattan as Girls Modified Softball Coach for the upcoming school year. • Appointed Kelly Smith as Elementary Teacher for the upcoming school year.[/private]
