Pittstown Thieves Leave No Signs

State Police in Brunswick are asking for assistance from the public for information related to seventeen road signs that have disappeared from roadways in Pittstown over a 30 day period. [private]On June 21, 2016 the Town of Pittstown Highway Department filed a complaint with Troopers after it was discovered that 11 various road signs had been removed from their proper locations the night before. The signs removed included 9 street name signs and 2 stop signs. On three separate occasions after that, within a 30 day period 6 more signs were removed from their proper location during overnight periods and all were street name signs. As a result of the thefts patrols in the area have been increased when possible. The investigation is continuing. Troopers are asking that anyone who may have seen anything or knows anything about the thefts to please call them at the Brunswick station at 518-279-4426. [/private]
