Robert Brott

Hoosick Falls – Robert P. Brott, 89, passed away on Tuesday August 9, at Bennington Health & Rehab. He resided at Wood Park Lane in Hoosick Falls.[private]His wife Theresa H. (Wolfrum) died in 1971. Born on July 7, 1927, in Greenfield, Massachusetts, son of the late Samuel and Margaret (Deveney) Brott. He attended schools in Hoosick Falls and was a member of the National Honor Society and graduated from Troy Business College. Ob-BrottRightRobert served in the United States Army from 1946-1947, receiving the rank of Sargent. He was employed as an Accountant for the Lewis Equipment Company in Albany, New York. He was a communicant and Eucharistic Minister at the Immaculate Conception Church in Hoosick Falls, also a member of the Knights of Columbus at the church. Robert enjoyed the Saratoga Race Track also spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his children Mary T. Brott and Robert S. Brott, both of Hoosick Falls and George A. Brott of Penacoock, NH, also grandchildren, Michael W. Ellis, Theresa E. Brott and Jason E. Chaplin, great-grandchildren Scarlet E. Ellis, Aubrey M. and Liam G. Ballard and Adrianna I. Chaplin. Services will be Saturday August 13, at 11 am from the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 9 am until the start of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society through the funeral home[/private]
