Seniors And County Officials Gather At Grafton Lakes For The Annual R.O.U.S.E. Picnic

Officers of Rensselaer Organizations United for Senior Endeavors (ROUSE), the senior community and Rensselaer County dignitaries enjoyed some beautiful weather for the organization’s annual picnic this past Wednesday.  [private]

Legislative Chair Stan Brownell, County Executive Kathy Jimino and State Senator Kathy Marchione were among those flipping burgers and serving assorted picnic foods to the members of the county’s senior community at Grafton Lakes State Park.

R.O.U.S.E. began as an advocacy group in 1970 and has grown into a coalition whose goal is to develop programs and services directed to those individuals in the over 60 age group who need assistance in maintaining their quality of life.

R.O.U.S.E. operates in conjunction with the Rensselaer County Office of the Aging with centers in Hoosick Falls and Grafton.
