Berlin – It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Bruce Kelley Riccardi on September 22, 2016. [private]Bruce was born on June 8, 1987 and resided in Berlin, New York. He was a graduate of Berlin Central High School and later the University of Arizona where he earned a degree in economics.Ob-Riccardiweb

Bruce worked with his family, his Dad, Uncle Phil and Cousin Phil, Jr., to build a vegetable provider business named “Berlin’s Best”. Bruce loved to experience nature. An avid hiker, he, along with a few life-long friends, was undertaking the “High Peaks” challenge and had worked through six of the forty-six Adirondack high peaks. Bruce enjoyed gardening, biking, snowboarding and making dandelion wine. When not trekking the mountains, Bruce enjoyed painting and drawing, as well as working on a journal of his experiences.

Bruce is survived by his father, Stephen L. Riccardi of Berlin, NY; his mother, Susan Kelley Riccardi of Berlin, NY; his sister, Patricia; his brothers, Shane and Chris; his nephew Jordan; his niece Jade as well as members of the Kelley family in Tucson, Arizona. Bruce was a kind soul who will be missed by those who knew him and loved him.

The family held a wake, to which all were invited, on Tuesday, September 27 from 4 tol 8 pm at the Thomas M. Barber Funeral Home, 66 Armsby Road in Petersburgh. Later this fall, the family will hold a celebration of his life on his home estate in Berlin.

Contributions in Bruce’s memory may be made to Soldier On, 421 North Main Street, Building 6, Leeds, MA 01053 or Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, Attn: Individual Giving, 2202 North Westshore Blvd, Suite 455, Tampa, FL 33607.
