Come One, Come All To The East Nassau Village Annual Cookie Contest and Auction

The Third Annual Village of East Nassau Cookie Contest And Auction will take place on Sunday, November 13, at 2 pm, at the Hoags Corners Fire House, 7237 State Road 66, East Nassau.

 [private]The theme for this year’s contest will be “Just like Grandma used to make.” The winning cookie will be named the 2017 Official Village Cookie.

The celebration begins at 2 pm and will include samples of all entered cookies, plus milk, coffee, and “Make Your Own” Sundaes, donated by Stewarts.

The Auction will feature many local restaurants and merchants offering jewelry, automotive, pet care, Christmas items, and even some summer fun gift certificates. Tickets for selected auction items will be available and 20 tickets will cost $5.

The $10 entry fee for those submitting cookies includes the event ticket to the celebration. A $5 event fee will be charged to the public. All proceeds will support the Village of East Nassau’s historic efforts.

To enter, each baker must provide twenty-four (24) homemake cookies, a typed copy of the recipe, and grant permission to publish the recipe in the Village’s 2017 Cookie Cookbook. Cookies only please.

The winner will be announced at the event as selected by the cookie-loving public. This promises to be an exciting and delightful community event for our third year.

Please join Village residents and visitors for an afternoon with friends, delicious cookies, a chance to win great gifts, eat ice cream, and just relax in a pleasant atmosphere. All are welcome.
