Edward J. Rogers

Stephentown – Edward Rogers, 63, of Stephentown, NY, passed away peacefully early August 25, 2016. Born in Riverhead, NY, Edward grew up in East Quague, Long Island and eventually moved to upstate New York.[private] Settling in Stephentown, Edward built his family home where he lived for over 30 years. A skilled carpenter and mechanic, Edward had a passion for antique automobiles. He also possessed a wonderful sense of humor and often captivated his audience with his unique storytelling ability. A genuinely original character, Edward loved spending time with his many friends and relatives.Ob-Rogersweb

Edward is survived by his sisters: Theresa Warner of Walden, NY, Cathy Sabalka of Peconic, NY, Shirley Williamson of Cottontown, TN, Ginger Melfi of Berkeley Heights, NJ, his son Daniel Rogers of Sand Lake, NY, stepdaughter Lacey Kollhop of Stephentown, NY, and many loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral service was held Monday, August 29 at at the Hall and Higgins Funeral Home in Stephentown. Friends and relatives visited with Edward’s family prior to the service. Interment was in Garfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, 1 Penny Lane, Latham, NY 12110. Condolence book at parkerbrosmemorial.com.[/private]
