September 1, 2016 By eastwickpress

By the time Village of Hoosick Falls firefighters arrived, the truck, which was on upper Hoosick Street across the street from Barber & Fricke’s, was completely engulfed in flames with black smoke billowing from it.

“I was coming across Hill Road and I thought a building was on fire, with all the black smoke,” Hoosick firefighter Tim Morin said.

The U-Haul trailer also had damage. The recent model truck hauling the trailer had one of the taillights distorted from the heat.

Hoosick Falls police and the Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad also responded to the scene. No one was injured.[/private]
