HFCS Golfers Go 13-1

by Steve Bradley The Panther golfers suffered their first defeat in the last match of the season. Spa Catholic, new to the Wasaren League this year, got the win last Thursday[private]. The Panthers had a great regular season and now look forward to getting back to their winning ways in the Wasaren League Invitational. The top four players of each league team will compete at the Country Club of Troy. The tournament is on Wednesday, September 28, and competition begins at 8 am. Sectional play begins October 4 at Eagle Crest.

HF 1½ – Spa Catholic 3½ Ryan Bloomer (HF) won against Terel Tillman, 1 up; Emma Van deCar won against Mathew Smith (HF), 4-2; Ben Scammel won against Conner Smith (HF), 1 up; Hayden Smith (HF) tied Jay Flynn; Jake Welcome won against Gavin Playotes (HF), 4-2. Emma VandeCar (SC) was the medalist with a 39.[/private]
