Hoosick Hullabaloo Enjoyed By All

From beginning to end, Hoosick Hullabaloo was a fun day in Hoosick Falls. Held in Wood Park, there were things to do for all ages all day and evening long. [private]A bouncy-bounce house, a golf challenge, build your own scarecrow and K-9 demonstrations were just a few of the entertaining choices.

Chowderfest, with six excellent clam and corn chowders, was a hit. Weeb and Beth Ferrannini won the Chowderfest competition with their clam chowder.

A “Hoosick Comes Full Circle” Wind Chime Community Art Project took place in the early evening. Later in the evening, just after dark, the “Hoosick Is Illuminated” parade was held. Everyone enjoyed the many lighted vehicles and people, especially the young people, who were outfitted with all sorts of different colored lighted decorative items. The Brewsters, a popular local band, played in the gazebo. A Luminary Lantern Launch was held at 8:30, and everyone enjoyed watching the lanterns float high into the sky.[/private]
