John J. Yurewitch Jr.

Hoosick Falls – John J. Yurewitch Jr., 54, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday August 21, 2016 at his residence. [private]He was the son of the late John J. Yurewitch Sr. and Linda Coonradt of Hoosick Falls, stepson of the late Kenneth Coonradt and Janis Yurewitch of Hoosick Falls.

John was born on December 15, 1961 in Bennington, VT, and graduated from HFCS class of 1980. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1980 to 1986. John enjoyed his time playing with his grandchildren, gardening, fishing, cooking, hunting and loved to watch WWE and Westerns. He always said there’s nothing better than an interesting conversation with good friends or family. He could engage in conversation with just about anyone.

Survivors other than his mother and step-mother include his wonderful daughters Amanda (Juan) Enriquez-Tirado, Latasha (Joey) Burdick, Savannah (Robert) Brenenstuhl and Jennifer (Joe) Phelan, his grandmother Anne Yurewitch of Hoosick Falls, twelve wonderful grandchildren and several step-grandchildren. They were all his pride and joy. They always called him “Cool Grampa.” John is brother to Karen Gorman, Shannon Stone, Lori Thompson and Tim Coonradt, all of Hoosick Falls, and several step-brothers, step-sisters and nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care of the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, New York.[/private]
