The man. The myth. The legend. Richard Charles Tinkham (Tink), 25, of Hoosick Falls, passed away Thursday September 22, 2016. He is the beloved son of Pam and Rick Tinkham and the brother of Leah Tinkham. [private]He was born on October 13, 1990 in Bennington, VT and graduated in the Class of 2008 from Hoosick Falls Central School. As a child Richard’s favorite book was “Where the Wild Things Are.” 
He seemed to carry this sentiment with him throughout life. Growing up he participated in many extracurricular activities, including: football, baseball, BMX and guitar. He was particularly fond of his cherished Beavers Baseball team and the school trip he took to Italy.
He also enjoyed working on cars. For a time, he loved driving his signature “ahooga” truck to school and around town. Although Richard would rather be getting his hands dirty than sitting in a classroom, he excelled in his college education. He graduated cum laude from Hudson Valley with an Associates of Auto-Body-Repair and received a certification from the Modern School of Welding. Richard was a skilled craftsman. He currently worked at Momentive as a union Welder. His creativity and attention to detail shown through in his welding and ability to play pranks (much to the dismay of his sister’s boyfriends).
As an adult Richard became a bit of an unofficial Hoosick Falls town historian. He appreciated the history of the town and valued the people in it. He remained an active part of the town’s social scene by frequently visiting his favorite people and watering holes. Music was also an important part of Richard’s life, from playing guitar to crowd surfing music festivals, music of all kinds was the soundtrack to his life. He also followed his Uncle Phil’s footsteps by racing stock cars.
Perhaps his favorite activity was fulfilling a lifelong dream by enjoying the view from the seat of his Harley alongside his biker family. Richard loved his friends, his family, his America and his dogs with ferocity. His selfless nature, kind spirit and tenacity to defend what is right won the hearts of countless individuals. Throughout his life, Richard became the unofficial brother, son and uncle to many.
