Rita A. Martinoli

Pittstown – Rita A. Martinoli, 72, passed away on Saturday August 27, 2016 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Amsterdam, New York.[private]She resided in Pittstown and was the wife of the late Robert F. Martinoli who died on April 16, 2010.

Rita was born on May 20, 1944 in Hoosick Falls, NY, daughter of Robert and Minnie (LeBarron) Luskin. She graduated from H.F.C.S. and was employed at R.P.I. College in Troy, NY. She was a former Den Mother of the Cub Scouts and served in many groups with the Boy Scouts for several years. Rita was a very active member of the Holy Names Episcopal Church in Boyntonville, NY, having served on many committees.

Survivors include her son Robert C. (Donna) Martinoli and granddaughter Renee L. Martinoli of Valley Falls, NY, brother Robert Luskin of Pittstown, NY, also several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Rita is predeceased by a sister and her husband Dorothy (Bernie) Murray and sister-in-law Betty Luskin.

Funeral services will be Friday September 2, at 9 am from the Holy Names Episcopal Church in Boyntonville, NY. Burial will follow the service at Hoosick Rural Cemetery, Hoosick, NY. Relatives and friends may call at the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls on Thursday September 1, from 4 to 8 pm.

Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation through the funeral home.[/private]
