The Junior and Senior Panther youth football teams met the Schuylerville teams Sunday at the Waterworks Field. The Juniors played a tough game but couldn’t get a lead, and the game went into double overtime after the regulation time ended in a 6-6 tie.[private] Schuylerville was able to get the ball across the goal line on their second four down chances from ten yards out, while the Panthers came up short with their second four downs. The final score was 12-6.

The Juniors (2-1) are in second place in the league behind Stillwater (3-0). They have scored 82 points and given up 32.
After returning the opening kickoff for a TD, the Senior Panthers struggled to get the offense going early but came on strong as the game progressed. Defense, however, was the name of the game as the Panthers swarmed over everything the Colts threw at them. The Panthers won pulling away from the Colts, 39-19.
The Seniors (2-1) are tied for second place with Stillwater, behind league leading Manchester (2-0). The Panther have outscored their opponents, 92 to 38.The teams travel to Stillwater on Sunday, September 25. The next home game is Sunday, October 2 against Mechanicville.[/private]
