HF 0 – Catholic Central 4

Monday, October 24 at Lansingburgh HS. HF 10, CC 13-2-2. After a first half where much of it was played in Panther territory, the Panthers were fortunate the score was 0-0. Panther goalie Sydney Miller was kept hopping but did a good job of keeping the Crusaders from scoring. In second half play, CC kept up the attack and leaks began to show in the Panther defense and CC took advantage. By the time it was over, the Crusaders had four goals, ending the Ladies’ season. CC’s goaltender Kay Miller had seven saves, while Miller recorded 14.

HF 2 – Cobleskill-Richmondville  1  (DBL OT)

Friday, October 21 at Hoosick. HF 10-5-3, Cobleskill-Richmondville 6-9. In a game that right from the start looked like one goal could win it, C-R struck first. In the middle of the first half C-R struck on a slow motion goal that had just enough speed to get over the goalline. From there, the Ladies buckled down and held C-R scoreless for the rest of the contest. But it took almost the entire regulation game to even the score at one. Ashley Foster scored with two minutes left in regulation time to give the Panthers the tying score, sending the game into overtime. The stalemate ended with two minutes left in the second overtime when Foster put a beautiful lead pass in front of Darian Morgan, who found herself with nothing but C-R goaltender Sydney Dymes between her the goal. Morgan capitalized, driving the ball past Dymes and sending the Panthers to the quarterfinals.[/private]
