Penelope Sprague

Hoosick Falls – Penelope Anne Sprague, 71, passed away on Saturday October 8, 2016 at the Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation.[private] She was the wife of Walter Sprague of Hoosick Falls. Their Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary was October 8.

Penelope was born on February 4, 1945, in Troy, NY, daughter of the late Barron and Helen McKeon. She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in Hoosick Falls and was a homemaker all of her life. Penelope was a Dallas Cowboy fan, and she enjoyed playing bingo and scrabble. She was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church.

Survivors other than her husband Walter include their sons Walter Sprague and Brian Sprague (Florence), sister Bronnie Powers (Ike), four grandchildren Matthew, Michael, MacKenzie and Madison Sprague, all of Hoosick Falls. She is also survived by four nieces and a nephew. She is predeceased by her brother Barron McKeon.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday October 14, at 10 am from the Immaculate Conception Church on Main Street in Hoosick Falls. Burial will follow the Mass at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hoosick Falls. There will be no calling hours.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation through the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls who are handling the arrangements.[/private]
