Ralph Wideawake

White Creek – Ralph O. Wideawake, 76, passed away on Monday October 17, 2016 at his residence on Shaftsbury Hollow Road. He resided there with his companion Doris Lucas.[private]

Ralph was born on May 9, 1940 in Bennington, VT, son of the late Merritt and Daisy (Skidmore) Wideawake. He was educated at schools in Grandville, NY. Ralph was formerly employed at Brownell Landscaping and Vermont Tissue. He enjoyed hunting and listening to country music.

Survivors include his children Patty Zinna, Tammy Foster, Philip, William and Ronnie Wideawake, stepdaughter Sally Russell, stepsons Greg, Wayne, Kevin, Brian, Mark and Robert Russell, sister Sharon Church, brothers Donnie and Jerry Wideawake, also several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, close friends Terry, Michael and Rachel Hastings. He is predeceased by a son Ralph J. Wideawake and a grandson Jeremy Allen.

A funeral service was held Tuesday, October 25, at 11 am from the Cornerstone Fellowship Church on Route 22 in North Hoosick. Burial followed the service at Rosewood Cemetery in White Creek. There were no calling hours. Arrangements are under the care of the Mahar Funeral Home in Hoosick Falls.[/private]
