Stephentown Water Polo And Muster Competition Held September 17 And 18

The Stephentown Volunteer Fire Department (SVFD) held its annual water polo on Saturday September 17. During the kid’s water polo event, there were 11 teams playing, where each child is paired with an adult firefighter. [private]Firefighters from Stephentown, Poestenkill Volunteer Fire Dept., and Hancock Volunteer Fire Department served as backup on the hoses for these future firefighters.

The winner of the kid’s water polo was Lucas Reiter from Poestenkill.

During the adult competition later in the evening, eight (8) teams competed from Hancock ( A and B), Poestenkill (A, B and C), Stephentown, Bissellville, and Hoags Corners.

Winner of the adult Water Polo competition was the Hoags Corners team of Jamieson Pelletier, Lane Pelletier, and Don Whalen.

The winner of the adult water polo was the team from Hoags Corners, which included Jamieson Pelletier, Lane Pelletier, and Don Whalen.

On Sunday September 18, teams from Stephentown, Bissellville Fire Department, Hinsdale, and New Lebanon competed in seven (7) different events including Midnight Alarm, Bucket Brigade, and Oil Fire. The overall winners were Hinsdale Team A.[/private]
