Anne received her “angel wings” while in the exceptional care of Hospice of North Idaho on October 26, 2016. It was her lightness of spirit and sense of humor that assured us all where she was going. [private]
Next to a good story, Anne loved her fresh squeezed orange juice and her kid’s toothbrushes almost as much. She continually showed her devotion to us through the years by making sure all the kids at the bus stop knew we had brushed our teeth and finished our fresh squeezed orange juice.
Anne loved reading a good book, taking a walk out to feed the goats with Dixie, and taking her annual trip to Stephentown to visit the farm and family. She hated disrupting any social event, holiday, or dinner party with any type of televised sporting event! Anyone who tried to disrupt Thanksgiving with a football game can attest. Thankfully, she’s now in a place where Wimbledon will be on year round and it’s okay to order “all pie” all the time.
Rarely on time to any event, she never let that interfere with having a good time. She so looked forward to Friday lunch with the girls, bridge with friends, Friday night picnics, holiday celebrations with the Riedlespergers and every party she was invited to.
The daughter of Albert and Irene Silvernail, she was born in 1939 and grew up in Stephentown, New York. She spent the next fifty years in San Luis Obispo, California, with her family and friends. She is survived by her husband Dan, sister Jane, sons Danny and Mark, daughters-in-law Gina and Caroline, and grandchildren Timothy and Lindsay.
Everyone that remembers Anne is asked to celebrate her life in their own way. Raise a glass of bourbon and ginger ale if you would like. Anne would hope that instead of flowers or donations, you would do an unexpected act of kindness or talk to the person next to you and try to brighten their day.
