Sandra Teal

Poestenkill- Sandra K. Teal 69, of Plank Road passed into eternal rest Friday evening November 4, 2016 at the Van Rensselaer Manor after a long illness, with her family at her side. Born in Troy on November 15, 1946, Sandy was the daughter of the late Robert and Mildred French Iveson and the beloved wife of Arlie R. Teal.[private]Sandy grew up in Brunswick and was a 1966 graduate of Troy High School. Arlie and Sandy were married on June 22, 1968. She had resided in Poestenkill for the past 47 years where she raised her family. Sandy was a happy, fun-loving person who enjoyed word searches, cats and spending time with her family.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Sandy was the sister of the late Eleanor Reckner.

Survivors in addition to her husband include her children Brenda L. (Tom) Jones of Stanfordville, NY and Mark A. (Julia) Teal of Averill Park, her brother Robert Iveson of Vista, CA. and her sister Marilyn (Harold) Wager of Brunswick and her grandchildren Kayleigh, Courtney and Lucas. Her family will miss her love of life and how she lit up the room with her presence, especially during the holidays.

Sandy’s family wishes to thank the staff at the Van Rensselaer Manor and the Community Hospice for their care, support and strength.

Relatives and friends are invited to a graveside service at 11 am on Saturday November 12, 2016 at the Woodside Cemetery Fifty Six Road East Poestenkill.

If desired the family suggest donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assoc. of Northeast New York, 4 Pine West Plaza, Suite 405, Albany, NY 12205.
