Christmas Concert By The Hoosick Falls Stardusters

The swing band from Hoosick Falls known as the Stardusters with the theme song “Stardust” by Hoagy Carmichael, will present its fifth annual Christmas Concert on Sunday, December 18, at 3 pm, at the Community Alliance Church in Hoosick Falls.[private]

The Stardusters, formed by Cortland Cottrell (d), debuted at a Spring Concert at HFCS in 1976. This group is available for dances and other programs. Recently it began an early summer concert in the Wood Park as well as these Christmas Concerts.

This year the band will be joined by local vocalist Kristina (Krissy) Fauler who will sing with the band the following selections: O Holy Night, The Christmas Song, Let it Snow and White Christmas.

The band is comprised of three trumpets, four trombones, seven saxophones of various sizes, Piano, drums and a bass. Single selections as well as medleys will be performed.

All are invited to this program. It is suggested that those attending bring a non perishable food item for the local food closet.[/private]
