Fashionista 4-H Club Elects New Officers

December 1, 2016 By eastwickpress

The Fashionistas 4-H Club kicked off the new year by electing new positions and officers. The Fashionistas Club consists of 6 members: Lucy Haynes, Jessica Haynes, Amelia Pello, Madison Haviland, Mia Cleary, and Kennedy Arnold.

[private]The very first project we completed was our community project. The Fashionistas made 6 unique blankets to be donated to the children’s floor at a local hospital. We liked this project so much that we are going to make 6 more to keep for ourselves.

We just finished up our second project. We made sunflower wreathes from cornhusks and pinecones. We will be bringing these to the Winter Fair on December 16 at Tamarac High School in Tamarac, NY.

We are now preparing for our next project … SEWING!!!

For our fundraiser this year, we have been selling SaveAround coupon books. These books can save you money at various Capital Region establishments.

Our club is continually collecting bottles and cans to help offset club costs. If you would like to donate your bottles and cans, please drop them off at the Nickleback Redemption Center located at 25 Carey Ave in Hoosick Falls. Please let them know you are donating to The Fashionistas 4-H Club in care of Barb Bouplon or Mary Haynes.

This year we will be celebrating the holidays by having a small Christmas party together in December. We are looking forward to sharing goodies and lots of laughs.

Happy Holidays to you and yours this holiday season on behalf of the Fashionistas.[/private]
