Kids Holiday Shop Very Popular

December 8, 2016 By eastwickpress

Cheney Library had a very successful event on Saturday, December 3. This was the first Kids’ Holiday Shop and it promises to be an annual event.[private] Children found a wide selection of gifts to buy for their parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, brothers and sisters. All items were either new or nearly new and were priced at 50 cents, 75 cents, and $1.

Children could feel good about their purchases because they chose them. Then the gifts were wrapped and a gift tag attached by a contingent of Girl Scouts. They were so busy that they ran out of wrapping and tissue paper and had to go out to buy more. When 1 pm came there were only 5 gifts that were not purchased.

If you would like to donate any new or nearly new items for Christmas 2017 we will gladly take them anytime. We will also accept gift bags; they are a huge help with wrapping odd shaped items.

Thanks to the Hoosick Falls community for making this a happy holiday for our children. [/private]
