Lady Panthers Off To Good Start

HF 60 – Tamarac 58

Tuesday, December 6 at HFCS. O 2-0, L 2-0. After leading early then going back and forth through the rest of the game, the Lady Panthers clawed their way to a win in the final minutes. [private]The Panthers used a huge advantage in free throw shooting (HF – 24 of 38 / T – 3 of 19) to stay with the Bengals. Kelly Pine and Liz Ryan each scored 16 points with Ally Burdick adding 14 and freshman Logan Thayne dropping in 10. Pine also hauled in 13 rebounds.

HF 43 – Stillwater 31

Friday, December 2 at Stillwater HS. O 1-0, L 1-0. The Lady Panthers basketball team got off to a good season start Friday evening when they defeated the Stillwater Warriors, 43-31. The Ladies jumped out to a 11-6 first quarter lead but by the half the Warriors had tied it up at 14 all. The Panthers outscored Stillwater 16-5 in the third to take a double digit lead into the fourth quarter. Sidney Miller scored 12 points and Kelly Pine added 10. Danika Svendsen led the Warriors with 16 points.[/private]
