Panther Bowlers Remain Undefeated After Three Matches

The Hoosick Falls bowling team kept their hot start to the season going on Thursday December 1, taking all 4 points in their home opener against Hadley-Luzerne. [private]Hoosick Falls finished with a match total of 3391 pins to Hadley-Luzerne’s 2243.

Co-captain AJ Hurlburt led the Panthers with a 248-656.  Other top varsity bowlers included: Chris Snyder 231-622 and Tyler Lindsey 187-543.  Meghan Backes and Matt Bulson added games of 202 and 189 respectively.  For the JV Panthers Colin King led with a 175-500 while Dan Suite and Erin McCart added games of 181 and 187 respectively. Owynn Arnold added games of 181 and 182. The win brought the Panthers to a 2-0 record, with a point record of 8-0.

The Hoosick Falls bowling team survived a shootout at home against Lake George on Tuesday, December 6, taking all 4 points.  Hoosick Falls finished with a match total of 3505 pins to Lake George’s 3297 pins.  Chris Snyder again led the way, this time with a 257-694. Meghan Backes added a 217-579 while the Panthers’ three senior captains added big scores of their own: AJ Hurlburt 226-639, Jon Bossoni 213-611, and Tyler Lindsey 214-576. On the visiting team Lake George also produced some impressive numbers led by top bowler Trevor Dunsmore who contributed a 230-636.  Other top scores for Lake George included Spencer Catlin 231-610 Anthony Cordenes 220-579, and Finn Lamburt 209-546.

The JV Panthers had some good scores from all ages as senior Matt Bulson had games of 181 and 179 while 7th grader Brody Mullen had a 244 game.  Hoosick Falls moves to 3-0 on the season with a point record of 12-0.  They look forward to another test on Thursday, December 8, this time away against Hoosic Valley. [/private]
