Girls Win Two In HFCS Holiday Tournament

HF 47 – Mt. Anthony 50

January 3 at HFCS. HF O 7-2, L 5-1. After a back and forth game, it came down to the last few minutes when each team had their chances to come away with a win.[private] Mt. Anthony stole a HF inbounds pass with 30 seconds to go and scored on the break to get the points for a win. Kelly Pine had 15 points and 12 rebounds, while freshman Logan Thayne had a fine game on offense and defense, recording 12 points and seven rebounds.

HF 52 – R-C-S 35

December 28 at HFCS. HF O 7-1, L 5-1. In the second night of the HFCS Holiday Tournament, the Ladies played Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk. After holding the Indians to 11 first half points while scoring 26 of their own, the Panthers cruised to an easy win. Kelly Pine led the way with 25 points and nine rebounds. Logan Thayne added 11 points and ten rebounds.

HF 54 – Cohoes 44

December 27 at HFCS. HF O 6-1, L 5-1. In the first night of the HFCS Holiday Tournament the Panthers got out to a 14-6 first quarter advantage but Cohoes came back in the second to close the gap to 22-19 by the half. The Panthers outscored the Tigers 14-6 in the third to take a lead they were able to keep until the end of the game. Liz Ryan scored 17 points, Kelly Pine added 11 and Eliza Whitman added 10.

Friday, January 6, the Ladies travel to Mechanicville to play the Red Raiders. Game time is scheduled for 7:30 pm.[/private]
