Hazel M. Alderman

Berlin – Hazel Marie Buttons Alderman, 45, formerly of Berlin, died peacefully Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at her home with her family at her side. [private]Born in Cambridge, NY on July 27, 1971, she is the daughter of Allen and Donna Stanley Buttons of Berlin. Hazel was raised and educated in Berlin and attended Berlin Central School. Ob-AldermanwebShe was employed by the National Hanger in Bennington, VT and also was a homemaker. She has resided in Bennington for the past 1¬Ω years.

She loved gardening, cooking, crossword puzzles, taking long rides in the car and thought of everyone else first before herself. In addition to her parents, she is the beloved wife of Wesley A. Alderman; loving mother of Joshua Ryan Alderman (Breanna Wood) and Samantha (Harold) Lessman, both of Bennington, VT; adored grandmother of Adam, Isabella and Amy Alderman, Amanda and Stephen Lessman; sister of Timothy (Shelly) Buttons of Stephentown.

The funeral service was held Friday, December 23 at noon at the Thomas M. Barber Funeral Home in Petersburgh with Pastor Mike Benoit officiating. Interment followed in the Berlin Community Cemetery. Relatives and friends called at the funeral home prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Thomas M. Barber Funeral Home, c/o Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet, NY 12189 to assist them with funeral expenses.
