HFCS Bowling Team Picks Up Two More Wins

The Hoosick Falls bowling team rebounded with a big win at home on Thursday, December 22 against Granville as they took all 4 points with their highest pin total of the year.  The Panthers posted a total of 3633 pins to Granville’s 2641 pins.[private]Co-captains Tyler Lindsey 235-669, Jon Bossoni 237-648, and AJ Hurlburt 215-641 led the way for the Panthers.  Sophomores Chis Snyder 209-597 and Meghan Backes 215-537 and Freshman James Hynd 191-541 were not far behind their upperclassmen teammates as all 6 varsity bowlers enjoyed good days.  For Granville, Mike Martin 243-544 and Dawson Goodspeed 198-507 also had good days.  For the JV Panthers Senior Matt Bulson had a great day posting a 212-541 while 8th grader Erin McCart 178 and 7th graders Brody Mullen 172 and Colin King 171 had great games.  The win improves Hoosick Falls’ record to 26-6 for the year.  The team had a little break from matches the last week of December as they traveled to Fort Edward for a holiday tournament on Wednesday December 28.

The Hoosick Falls Bowling team returned to action on Tuesday, January 3, winning all 4 points in a tough road test against Whitehall. After the holiday layover the Panther bowlers posted an overall total of 2859 pins to Whitehall’s 2260.

Junior co-captain AJ Hurlburt led the way for Hoosick Falls with an impressive 252-607. Senior co-captain Jon Bossoni 211-533 also had a good day. Whitehall was led by John Hollister 194-513. The victory lifts Hoosick Falls to a 30-6 point rec-ord for the year. The Panther Bowlers will have another road test on Thursday, as they travel to Hilltop Lanes to square off against Waterford.[/private]
