Village of Hoosick Falls Police Chief Robert Ashe said Tarrance Cain, 21, of Saratoga Street, was arrested on a sealed indictment by a Rensselaer County grand jury on nine felony charges related to drug sales.[private] Cain was indicted on two counts each of third and fifth degree criminal sale and criminal possession of a controlled substance, along with a single count of fourth degree conspiracy.
The arrest was the result of a six month long investigation after police received a tip concerning local drug sales. The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected. The New York state Community Narcotics Enforcement Team is assisting the Hoosick Falls Police Department.[/private]
