A Drug Take Back Day At The Grafton Community Library

March 30, 2017 By eastwickpress

It was the first time the library has held such an event, and it was very well received. [private] Library Director Ronnie Tatro said there was an overwhelming demand for the opportunity to bring in outdated or unused prescription drugs and have them properly disposed of by the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Department.

Undersheriff Ed Bly, pictured here with some of the bags of drugs dropped off on Saturday, March 25, said it is a program the department would like to expand. The drugs collected are taken back to a secure facility at the county jail and then turned over to the DEA.
