A Family Division Of Land Approved In Berlin
By Doug La Rocque
Following a public hearing at which there was but one speaker, the Berlin Planning Board gave its approval to a request by Karl Brock Sr. to subdivide his 8.9 acres of land at 295 Dyken Pond Road, to cut out a 3-acre parcel for his son and daughter-in-law to build their homestead. [private] A neighbor of Mr. Brock’s, Thomas Brower, asked if the subdivision would in any way impact his property. When assured by both the Board and Mr. Brock the home would have all the required setbacks from his property, including sewer, Mr. Brower indicated he was satisfied and had no opposition to the action. The Board has also declared there would be no negative environmental impact. Following the public hearing and the motion to approve the subdivision, hearing no other business, the Board voted to adjourn. [/private]
