The group also features a youth chorus of students from Berlin Central Schools where Mr. Greenberg taught elementary band for over 20 years. The music is easily accessible to children, encouraging them to sing and dance, while at the same time appealing to adults who can share in the musical experience.

The Mother Goose Jazz Band, under the direction of Josh Greenberg presents music that respects the natural spirit of playfulness in children.   Their music nurtures an appreciation for a variety of musical styles – From a Thelonious Monk-inspired “This Little Pig Went to Market,” to a Latin version of “This Old Man,” familiar nursery rhymes are given creative  arrangements that bring the rich heritage of Jazz to a whole new generation.

This year marks the 35th anniversary of the Mother Goose Jazz Band and they are bringing their music to the public once again in live concerts as well as in MP3 formats available on the internet. Their music is available for streaming from Spotify and their CDs are available from the website www.mothergoosejazzband.com.   [/private]
