The Petersburgh Veterans Memorial Community Center is offering a busy week for area youth thanks to the support of Stewart’s and the Everett Wagar Senior Center: Please call the Senior Center to reserve your dinner at 279-3485.[private]On Friday April 14 at the Senior Center there will be intergenerational Easter Egg Coloring at 10:30 am followed by lunch of an egg salad cold plate.
On Tuesday April 18 there will be subs for lunch at PVMCC at 1 pm followed by a drumming/dance workshop for youth 8 to 14. Children under eight are very welcome to come and observe if they are accompanied by their adults. This workshop is presented by Kathleen Oliver. The workshop will run from 2 to 3:30 pm.
On Thurday April 20 at PVMCC Helene Rubin will be teaching a kids/adults yoga session from 11 to 11:45 am, followed by pizza at noon.
On Friday there will be a lunch of pasta and cheese at noon at the Senior Center. This will be followed by Make Your Own Ice Cream Sundaes at 12:30 and a presentation by Storyteller Gil Payette.
All activities and food for the youths to age 18 will be free courtesy of PVMCC’s Stewart’s Grant. A donation of $3 is suggested for the meals at the Senior Center for accompanying adults. A can for donations for the food for the adults will be at the PVMCC events. [/private]
