Stephentown Artisans Exhibit Draws Good Crowd

In their third Artisans show in three years The Stephentown Historical Society opened up the exhibit to arts and crafts people in the wider area, some from as far away as Pittsfield. [private]The previous shows were restricted to Stephentown artisans, Women Artisans of Stephentown followed the next year by Men Artisans. Bev McClave, President of the Society and Curator of the Heritage Center, was pleased with the turnout of the public for this year’s two-day show, held Saturday and Sunday at the Heritage Center on Garfield Road.

Included in the exhibit were Lucy Jackson with her silver jewelry creations, painter Anna Southard, Matt Zema with a display of tied fishing flies, photographer Christina Florada,

water colorist Katy Gideon, Maureen Seel with a display of her weaving, painters Violet Wilcox and Lynn Drumm, Kim Roppolo with pottery works, illustrator Logan Kline, Carolyn duSablon with knitted works, Gail Lindemann with knitted jewelry works and mother and daughter painters Heather and Carol Kirsimagi. [/private]
