Stephentown Safety Officer Chuck Riccardi noted that people can serve in various roles including firefighters, scene support personnel, Emergency Medical Technicians, drivers, or fire police, and free training is provided.  Most fire departments, including Stephentown, even have programs for volunteers as young as 16 years old and opportunities for retirees too. It is not too late to contact your local fire department for an application.  [/private]
