Berlin July 4th Parade

Heroes and Legends is the theme for the 2017 Berlin July 4th parade. [private]The parade committee invites you and/or your organization/business to join them in celebrating Independence Day 2017 by participating in the only July 4th parade in Rensselaer County! Now is the time to plan your parade entry. There is no entry fee!

Prizes And Ribbons Awarded 

There are monetary prizes for Non-Commercial Floats – Grand Prize – $125, Theme: First $100, Second $75, Funniest: First $75, Second $50, Prettiest: First $75, Second $50.

Business Floats and Fire Companies will be awarded ribbons. Other ribbon awarded categories include Marching Groups, Farm Equipment, Autos/Classic/Modified, Horseback Riders, Autos/Antique, Costumed Walkers, Trucks and Bicycles. Due to legal restrictions, no ATV’s will be allowed except for those pulling a float with a rigid support.

Registration forms are available on the Town of Berlin website at www.berlin-ny.us/julyparade.htm or by calling Jean: 518-658-3010 or Carol: 518-658-3936.

All parade participants should be at the Berlin Elementary School at 9:30 am to register. Judging begins at 10 and the parade steps off promptly at 11 am.

Immediately following the parade, all participants are invited to the firehouse where cold beverages will be available, compliments of the Berlin Volunteer Fire Company. The Hill Hollow Band will be performing in the parking lot for your entertainment pleasure. Stop by!
