A Border Line Adjustment Approved And A Subdivision
Proposed In Grafton

Doug La Rocque

The Grafton Planning Board Monday night June 19 gave its approval to a border line adjustment between Harold and James Goyer along County Route 85 (South Road). [Private] James Goyer is making two small purchases of adjoining land from his father Harold, of one-half and one-third of an acre respectively.  The vote was 4-0, with James Goyer, a member of the Planning Board, abstaining.

In other old business, Board Chairman Tom Withcuskey said that he and Highway Superintendent Herb Hasbrouck inspected the roadway into the Birch Crest development off Dunham Road and found it meets all requirements for the roadway to be taken over by the town.  The development was once owned and constructed by former Town Supervisor, the late Ray Darling.  The Board voted unanimously to recommend acceptance to the Grafton Town Board.

Surveyor Bill Darling represented Sigmund Knorowski in his proposal to the Board to split his 20 plus acres at 388 Stuffle St into four separate tax plots.  He owns land on both sides of the road, and wishes to divide the south side into two parcels of land, of 1.07 and 5.77 acres.  There is an existing homestead on each piece, all complete with separate driveways, sewer, water and electrical.  He wishes to divide the land on the north side of the road into lots of 5.16 and 10.3 acres for future sale. Darling gave the Board a short form environmental impact study and Knorowski’s application, which the Board voted to accept.  A public hearing on the proposal is set for Monday, July 17 at 6:50 pm, immediately preceding The Board’s next scheduled meeting.
