Hoosick Falls CSD Announces Schedule For The End of School Year

It is hard to believe that another school year is coming to a close, but on June 23, the 144th annual commencement exercise will be held. [private]In the coming weeks, there are a number of year-end activities scheduled. Listed below is a rundown of the June 2017 Hoosick Falls Central School District activities, ceremonies, exams, and busing schedules.

Wednesday, June 7 – Athletic Banquet, High School Gym

Thursday, June 8 – PAC Awards, High School Auditorium

Tuesday, June 20 – UPK Celebration, Elementary Cafeteria

Tuesday, June 20 – Grade 6 Moving Up Celebration, High School Auditorium

Wednesday, June 21 – Kindergarten Celebration, High School Auditorium

Wednesday, June 21 – Baccalaureate, Location to be announced

(check HFCS website and social media)

Thursday, June 22 – Senior Awards Night

Friday, June 23 – The 144th annual commencement exercise (High School Graduation) on the Ken Baker Football Field (weather permitting; indoor location is High School Auditorium)

The Bus Run Schedule For Finals/Regents Week 

• Morning (am) pickup and Afternoon (pm) drop off will run as normal Tuesday, June 13 through Friday, June 16.

• Morning (am) pickup will also run as normal Tuesday, June 20.

• An 11:45 (am) run, following the normal high school bus routes, will take place Tuesday, June 13 through Friday, June 16.

For the elementary:

Bus runs will remain the same until the end of the school year. The last day for students and bussing will be Wednesday, June 21.

Exam Schedules

Final Exams and Regents Exams are scheduled from Tuesday June 13 through Thursday morning June 22. The detailed exam schedule is posted on the HFCS web site.

Hoosick Falls Elementary School Revised Schedule

As previously indicated, recent updates from the New York State Education Department have impacted the end-of-year schedule for the Hoosick Falls Elementary School.

• June 19, 20 and 21 will be full day sessions for all students grades UPK through 6.

• Wednesday, June 21 will be the last day for all students grades UPK through 6.

• UPK Celebration will be held on Tuesday, June 20 at 2 pm in the elementary cafeteria.

• Kindergarten Celebration will be held on Wednesday, June 21 at 1:30 pm in the high school auditorium.

• Kindergarten screening for incoming Kindergarten students will be held on June 19, 20, and 21. [/private]
