Pastor Timothy S. Horton

Pastor Timothy S. Horton, 60, of Douglas, MA, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017 after battling a prolonged illness.[private] He was the adoring husband of Allie (Mange) Horton for 30 years. He was raised in Grafton, NY, the son of the late Fred and “Peggy” Stewart Horton. He graduated from Berlin Central High School and Albany Bible Institute where he was a professor after graduation. He had been an on-air personality for WGNA radio; station manager for WOCD TV55; and General Manager for WHAZ 1330 radio. He had been a pastor and Hospice chaplain for the last 17 years.

Jesus Christ was Tim’s love and he dedicated his life to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He was a devoted family man. He also enjoyed fishing and was an avid New England Patriots fan.

In addition to his wife of 30 years, he is survived by three sons; Pastor Timothy J. Horton (Michelle) of Blackstone, MA, Marcus E. Horton of Douglas, MA, and Aaron J. Horton (Alexandria) of Hartford, CT; a brother, Fred E. Horton (Carol) of Delmar; two sisters, Nancy Caruso (Filip) of Kenmore, and Beverly DeCoigne (Jack) of Castleton and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Patricia E. Hewitt.

A memorial service will be held Friday, June 2, 2017 at 6 pm at Connecting Point Church, 568 Columbia Turnpike, East Greenbush, officiated by Pastor John Westfall.
