Free Family Fun Day At The Grafton VFW

July 13, 2017 By eastwickpress

by Doug La Rocque
The turnout was a little lighter than expected for the first of two such events this summer, attributed mostly to the fact it was an outside event and the weather was stormy all day.[Private]  The band Smooze (below) entertained from 6 to 9 pm, with food and entertainment offered throughout the day.
The band “Snooze” entertained.
The Grafton Fire Department and Ladies Auxiliary sold hot dogs and hamburgers, popcorn and cotton candy to benefit the Ladies Auxiliary.
The children all enjoyed Balloon Ben.

Balloon Ben (right) entertained the kids making various balloon figures for the children. The next Free Family Concert is scheduled for Saturday August 12 with the band Whiskey Highway.  This past weekend’s event was sponsored by a donation from the R.J. Valente Quarry in the town.  The band shell was provided by Dan Minbiole. [/Private]
