Betty Kane

Hoosick Falls – Betty Kane, 81, passed away on Monday June 19, 2017 at the Center for Nursing And Rehabilitation in Hoosick Falls.[Private] She resided on Home Street in Hoosick Falls. Betty was born on April 30, 1936, in Cambridge, NY, daughter of the late Myron and Mabel (Atwood) Kane. She was educated at schools in Hoosick Falls and worked at Lovejoy Chaplet for many years.

She was a history buff and an avid sports fan.

Survivors include her sisters Stella Kane of Johnsonville, NY, Florence Kinney of Hoosick Falls, Linda Blanchard of Vermont and Joyce Davis, brother John Kane of Texas. Betty is predeceased by a sister Barbara Kane.

Graveside services were held Friday July 7 at 1 pm at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Hoosick Falls. There were no calling hours.

Contributions may be made to the Second Chance Animal Shelter through the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street, Hoosick Falls, NY, who are handling the arrangements.[/Private]
