Beverly Brock

August 4, 2017 By eastwickpress

Beverly Ann Babcock Brock, (73), entered Glory on July 28, 2017. She was born February 16, 1944 as the eldest daughter of the late Lewis Earl (Joe) and Pearl Crandall Babcock (Koch). She is survived by her husband, Everett Brock, her daughter, Kathryn Louise Brock, both of Petersburgh, her grandson, Michael A. (Renee) Wagner of Lubbock, Texas and great grandson Hunter Allen Wagner. She was sister to Frank (Joan) Babcock and Mary Lou (Walter) Walters and the late Lewis Aaron Babcock all of Petersburgh. She was sadly predeceased by her sons John and Michael Patrick Brock. Beverly was afflicted with schizophrenia. Although it robbed her of much, it did not keep her from loving her Lord. She had a ministry to fellow nursing home residents and was always generous with whatever she had. When she was able she especially enjoyed sharing Christian readings with others. She loved listening to the sermons that her mother would read to her each week and then after her mother’s passing she enjoyed the scriptures and hymns that another family member would share. She found a loving family among the staff and residents of the 3rd unit of Hillcrest Commons, where she spent the last 13 years of her life. The staff were kind and gave her excellent care and love. The family would especially like to thank Shawna, Holly and especially Sarah who gave extra love and support to Beverly and her family through the years. Beverly was raised, saved and married in the Petersburgh Methodist Church and will now be buried from that church on August 6 at 10 am. Interment will be in the East Hollow Cemetery alongside of John and Lewis Aaron. Her family rejoices that she is finally healed and enjoying her time in heaven with so many of her loved ones.
