Elizabeth Ann O’Dell

Grafton – Elizabeth Ann O’Dell, born in Troy, NY on November 15, 1939, joined her beloved son Theron, Jr., on August 22, 2017, when God and the Angels took her home. Daughter of the late Jermiah and Blanche Mahoney, Betsy was a graduate of HVCC with a degree in Early Childhood Education.

She was a Real Estate Broker and Teacher with Rensselaer County CEO. She was a Past Activist as Chairperson of the Grafton Republican Party and served on the Grievance Board for many years. She also served as an Officer with the Rensselaer County American Red Cross.

Loving wife of 58 years of Theron J. O’Dell, Sr., sister of Mary (Ray) Grimmick, Rose (Henry) Duncan, Ellen (Fred) Mahoney, Germaine (Wilie) Mahoney, Darlene (Walter) Stark, Linda Mahoney, Thomas Mahoney, Lawrence (Jean) Mahoney, John (Elaine) Mahoney, Gerald (Ruth) Mahoney and William Mahoney. Survived by her daughter Jill, also survived by 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, to whom we give our love and thanks.

Our special thanks to our niece Ingrid O’Dell and Landmark Nurse Sandra Wheeler for their expertise advise and loving care.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 1, at 6:30 pm at the Grafton Baptist Church, Owens Rd., Cropseyville, NY 12052. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Thursday from 2 to 4 pm at the Morris-Stebbins-Miner & Sanvidge Funeral Home, 312 Hoosick Street, Troy, NY 12180. Phone 518-272-3930.
