Quarterback Sam Richard threw for 103 yards (7/12), ran for another 60, scored three touchdowns and made seven tackles on defense to lead Hoosick Falls (4-1 )to a win over Fonda (1-4) Friday evening. Fonda scored first, grabbing a seven point lead early in the first quarter when Jon Flander caught a five yard pass from John Mancini. Later in the same quarter, Richard dropped a perfect 42 pass into the hands of Lucas Brogue for a score.

Brogue kicked the extra point to tie the game. The teams traded touchdowns again in the second quarter when Max Kipp ran 26 yards for a Panther score and Mancini dove in from three yards out for the Braves. Both extra points were missed and the score at the half was 13-13.

The Tamarac Bengals traveled north to take on the combined squad from Lake George/Hadley-Luzerne. They came out on the losing end of the battle 38-22. Tamarac jumped out to a 22-16 halftime lead, but the LG/HL defense held the Bengals scoreless in the second half, putting up 22 points of their own to stroll to the victory. Luis Marmolejo led the Bengals with 83 years rushing. The defeat dropped Tamarac to 4 -2 on the year. They next play host to the Watervliet Cannoneers.

Other area game results: Class C — Mechanicville (5-0) 25, Corinth 7; Chatham (3-2) 54, Taconic Hills 6; Voorheesville (4-1) 27, Coxsackie-Athens 6; Class D — Hoosic Valley (2-3) 49, Rensselaer 7; Greenwich (5-0) 43, Cambridge 38.
