Lester E. Brock Jr.

Petersburgh, NY.   Lester E. “Sonny” Brock, Jr., 78 of Petersburgh, beloved husband of Nancy L. Goodermote Brock of Petersburgh, peacefully entered into eternal life surrounded by his family in the comfort of his home on Thursday, October 26, 2017.

Born and educated in Petersburgh, he was the son of Lester and Elizabeth Westcott Brock, Sr.

Sonny had been employed as a Heavy Equipment Operator for the New York State Department of Transportation in Brunswick, retiring after 29 years of dedicated service.

Sonny enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and horseshoes. He was a fan of the New York Yankees and served for many years as a Coach at both Petersburgh Little League and Petersburgh Babe Ruth.

Beloved husband for over 55 years of Nancy, devoted father of Laura (Frank) Anderson of Pittstown, David (Krissy) Brock of North Petersburgh, Brenda (Todd) Brock and Susan (Bev) Liebenow both of Petersburgh, Daniel (Margaret) Brock of Jackson, James (Tasha) Brock of Conway, SC, Roger Brock of Hoosick Falls, Arnold (Sassy) Brock of Petersburgh and Jeff (Crystal) Brock of Hoosick, brother of Carol Delitte of Lakeland, Fl, Kathy Arasim and Jerome Brock, both of Hoosick Falls, Gerald Brock of North Hoosick, Allan (Desi) Brock of West Hoosick and the late Ronald Brock and the late Susan Brock. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends were invited to Sonny’s graveside service on Saturday, October 28 at 10 am in Meadow Lawn Cemetery in Petersburgh. In keeping with Sonny’s wishes, there were no public calling hours. Those desiring, may make memorial contributions to the charity of one’s choice in memory of Lester E. “Sonny” Brock, Jr.
